![]() If you can get used to work in Corel, as far as I know from the people I know work with it, it's a good software.Īs for comparing it to PSP it's like asking to compare Illustrator to Photoshop, different software, different uses, actually they are the direct competitors Corel Painter/Illustrator PSP/Photoshop. Sorry, I miss read your question, but anyway I think it's a workflow issue. I was hoping someone here would be able to break down why CorelDRAW is so much better that PSP and likewise, what IS good about PSP. I found it extremely odd that no one seems to review them head-to-head. Now that they're both Corel products I was wondering where they're similar and where they're different enough to still justify a $400 price difference. It's been a long, Long, LONG time since I've used either CorelDRAW or PSP. ![]() I've been using Adobe stuff exclusively for 10+ years but I don't like the direction they're going with subscription model & pricing so I'm feeling out something to jump to. Back then the differences between CorelDRAW and PSP were pretty obvious. ![]() I've even used much earlier versions of CorelDRAW and Paintshop Pro (when it was shareware!). I've used lots of stuff for page layout like QuarkXPress & InDesign. (That wasn't meant to be snarky.)Īctually, I've been using graphics software since Aldus Freehand and "WYSIWYG" was the hotness. Thanks for the explainer but I do understand what each of the programs are. I added the prices because someone asked what they were. These are not "special" prices of any kind, they are the full retail prices of each. To be clear, this is not promoting either of the products. I'd also be interested in why no one pits them against one another in reviews when they're just about the only game in town outside of the Adobe stuff.ĮDIT: Here are the prices at the Corel websites for one-time purchases (not monthly subscriptions). Hopefully some of you will have some insight into what makes one worth so much more than the other. In fact, I don't see any comparisons of previous iterations of the two packages either. I've been looking everywhere for head-to-head reviews to give a decent compare-and-contrast of the two packages but there don't seem to be any. They're both made by Corel but the price points are obviously vastly different. The two most obvious seem to be CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2021 vs. I'm looking for another comparable suite of tools and there seem to be very few. I am getting out of the Adobe Creative Suite game primarily because I'm not a fan of cloud subscription services.
